The American Society for Islamic Awareness is, at heart, a Muslim community center and mosque in southeast Houston that strives to build a welcoming environment that encourages growth, both personal and spiritual.
We want everyone who enters our building to feel comfortable. We value fellowship, both within our own faith and with our non-Muslim neighbors.
Education is important to us and we offer multiple classes for all ages and abilities. We believe that knowledge is the key to a greater understanding of ourselves, our faith and each other.

The ongoing development of our masjid is crucial to creating a welcoming and inclusive space for all community members. In addition to completed projects like new entrances, offices, and a Multi-Purpose Hall, there are upcoming plans to enhance our masjid further. This includes adding a canopy for a comfortable space, finishing the Multi-Purpose Hall, and updating the Sister’s Section. These improvements aim to cater to the diverse needs of our community, providing a safe haven for teenagers, a nurturing environment for children, and a peaceful place for sisters.
